A Beautiful North Carolina Beach Wedding at Just Peachy
Just Peachy is a huge 10 bedroom 10 bath mansion located in the Outer Banks. It’s expansive uninterrupted views of the Atlantic to the east and over 400 acres of open park Land at the Wright Brothers National Park makes this gorgeous beach front property the perfect place for a OBX beach wedding, so it’s no wonder why Audrey and Jeremy made the 497 mile drive from Port Vue, Pennsylvania.
Two days before their beach wedding at Just Peachy, Audrey, Jeremy and I met for the first time at a local restaurant, The Black Pelican (seen on the Food Networks Diners, Drive Ins and Dives). We talked for over an hour, covering all sorts of topics, from wedding dresses to wedding cakes to Jeremy popping the question, or as Audrey jokingly recalled it, Jeremy forgetting to ask; he had given her the ring, put it on her finger, but forgot to ask her if she’d marry him. They told me about what it was like to plan a destination wedding in the Outer Banks from 500 miles away, how they had accidentally ordered 600 napkins with their names and wedding dates on them, switched their off site caterer last minute and decided to go with Kelly’s Restaurant and Tavern in Nags Head instead (the food was awesome), and the ins and outs of finding event homes for their 100 guests, which if I recall, they said was pretty easy. It was a good time.
When the day of the wedding came, I met up with Audrey first. I found her and her entourage perfectly relaxed, eating finger foods, sipping on Champaign, talking about old memories and make new ones. The house was full of family and friends, all clamoring around to get a look at Audrey in her wedding dress which made for a really good vibe, one filled of excitement, joy and anticipation.
Everything was perfect, even the weather cooperated. We had a small thunder storm in the morning, but that gave way to blue skies by mid afternoon which were absolutely perfect for Audrey’s beach wedding and ceremony; not to hot, not too cold. It was perfect.
Audrey and Jeremy couldn’t of looked any happier together, surrounded by family and friends on their special day. I wish you two all the happiness in the world. I thank you for sharing your wedding day with me and I hope you like the photos as much as I do.
